every reward buy is a trade and every trade is a fee. the fee is the creator fee rate pump.fun pays, so a reward of r sol returns fee rate × r sol to the intake, of which one eighth refills the buffer. the loop therefore drains the buffer by a share's fraction and refills it by fee rate × that fraction / 8. with the fee rate well under one, the buffer shrinks with every share unless outside trades keep landing.
that is the design. the machine cannot mine itself rich. it mines exactly as fast as the coin is traded, and the shielded vein grows exactly as fast as fees arrive. the rung makes each share cheaper as volume climbs so the buffer lasts longer at high volume.
the table below works the fixed point for a run of shares with no outside trades, starting from the current buffer, to show how many shares it takes to spend the buffer to one percent at each rung.
| rung | grade 1 shares to 1% | grade 3 shares to 1% |
|---|
| 0 | 72 | 23 |
| 1 | 146 | 47 |
| 2 | 293 | 96 |
| 3 | 588 | 195 |
| 4 | 1,177 | 391 |
| 5 | 2,356 | 784 |
| 6 | 4,714 | 1,570 |
